Catherine Watson is a creative entrepreneur hailing from Detroit, MI. She was born and raised in the City of Detroit. She has attended schools in Michigan and the District of Columbia. She co-founded the creative entity The Dissertation Detroit in 2011, which started as an “arts, culture, and Detroit” themed blog as well as a portfolio of artwork. She has hosted pop-up events and participated in art exhibitions, most notably competing in Art Prize 2014. The exhibition now resides at The Heidelberg Project. She teaches an arts/crafts-based entrepreneurship program at select Detroit Public Schools, assists in researching, writing, and editing business plans for Lifeline Business Consulting and does freelance brand consulting for organizations. In her free time she enjoys planning/curating future ventures, traveling, reading, exercising, and cocktails.
