Grace Herbert is a visual artist based in Hobart, Tasmania.  She studied a Bachelor of Fine Art, Sculpture at RMIT University in Melbourne and undertook post graduate research in Sculpture at the University of Tasmania.  Her work uses a mix of photography, collage, video and sculpture.  Motivated by an interest in the built environment; and in particular cycles of construction, demolition and decay, her work often takes the form of site-specific installations or interventions.  The artist has exhibited her work in solo and group shows both locally and internationally.  Her arts practice is co-constituted by an involvement in various curatorial projects, publications and artist-run initiatives.
